I Hate Chicken

Sun. May 20, 2012

Why hate chickens?

Back in the day each egg would lay 70 eggs each year
Now factory chickens are expected to produce 250

They will feed a chicken 30 times their weight in calcium each year so their bodies can support the expected egg production

Once they can no longer produce eggs you eat them in pot pies and soup where you don't notice the poor quality of the meat

8 Billion chickens per year are eaten

250 million Hens lay 80 billion Eggs per year
Laying hens are slaughtered at 12 months

to lay an egg = 34 hours

egg to chick = 21 days

slaughter weight = 6 weeks

The chicken you eat is less than 50 days old..

How would you like to be a male egg chicken?

Do you deny that your eggs come from a place like this?
